Safety of Futron refrigeration systems with natural refrigerants

Safety comes first, especially when using flammable substances. That is why a properly functioning safety system is essential when using propane, propene and butane. To ensure safety, our products are manufactured exclusively by qualified personnel with many years of experience and in accordance with high quality standards.

In addition, all our devices are equipped with an ATEX gas warning system with a two-stage gas sensor, which prevents system failures due to false alarms. If the limit of 2000 ppm (first stage) is exceeded, the exhaust fan is switched on and the gas mixture is transported to the outside. The high delivery rate of the fan prevents a flammable mixture from forming.

If the limit of 4000 ppm is exceeded, the device is immediately disconnected from the power supply, but continues to be monitored and ventilated by the gas sensor.

Hydrocarbons are flammable under certain circumstances and influences. The danger exists and must be avoided by taking appropriate safety precautions. A flammable propane mixture exists at only 2.12% to 9.35% by volume in the air. Below these limits, propane, for example, is difficult or impossible to ignite. The risks during operation of the refrigeration machine are safely managed by reliable protective measures.
